The STEP Stair Controller by Design Light brings dynamic, intelligent lighting control to your staircase. Designed for modern interiors, architectural lighting, and home automation, it automatically activates stair lighting step by step as you approach - delivering both practicality and style.
Supporting both 12 V and 24 V DC LED systems, the controller manages a total output of up to 120 W (12 V) or 240 W (24 V). Each step channel can handle 7.5 W at 12 V or 15 W at 24 V, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of LED strips or spotlights.
Two PIR motion sensors (supplied with 6 m and 1 m cables) are installed at the top and bottom of the staircase, detecting movement within 1.5 m and triggering smooth, sequential illumination.
Customisation options include selecting the number of active steps, adjusting the speed of the light sequence, and setting the hold-on time after full activation (from 2 to 30 seconds – 9 levels). You can also choose from four brightness levels: 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%, to suit your lighting design.
