Installation Warranty Procedure

At Batteries & Solar, we pride ourselves on providing a high level of Service Provision . However, sometimes things can go wrong, which may lead to you needing to claim a warranty on an installation we have provided.

To process a warranty claim for an installation, you will need to follow these steps:

  • Complete the Warranty Claim Form
  • Our team will require your Proof of Purchase, so please have this available!
  • One of our team will contact you to run through your claim.
  • When requested, we will need to inspect the installation. This will require us having access to installation which will be arranged with yourself by a member of our team.

Before proceeding with a warranty claim, we would ask that you have checked the following things first:

  • Have you checked that the problem is not being caused by something external to the installation?
  • Is the installation within its warranty claim period of 12 months?

After making a Warranty Claim

One of our technical team will carry out a full inspection of the installation, covering all aspects to determine the fault. 

Once we have completed this, you will be advised of the outcome and whether a warranty claim can be fulfilled on the installation.

Terms and Conditions of Warranty for Installations

  1. All new installations provided by Batteries and Solar come with a 12 month warranty from completion of installation.
  2. Any rectification works provided by Batteries and Solar for works previously completed by an external company carry a 12 month warranty of the correction only. Batteries and Solar do not accept any liability for any faults that occur to externally installed works that fail and are not as a result of the rectifications carried out by Batteries and Solar.
  3. After receiving a warranty claim for an installation provided by Batteries and Solar, we will investigate the fault that has occurred and, if it is demonstrated that the fault has occurred due to works provided by Batteries and Solar, Batteries and Solar will rectify the works to bring the installation back to working order.
  4. The following constitute elements that would void warranty on the installation:
    1. Abuse or Misuse of the Installation
    2. Incorrect Usage of the Installation
    3. Damage to the Installation resulting from gross negligence
    4. Damage to the Installation caused by accident or collision
    5. General Wear and Tear of the Installation
    6. Improper Maintenance of the Installation
    7. Environmental Damage to the Installation
    8. Damage to the installation caused by tampering or adjusting the installation without proper instruction
    9. Use in applications for which the installation was not designed, installed or under specification
    10. External factors the have caused damage to parts, i.e. rodents, weather damage
  6. Under no circumstances shall Batteries and Solar be liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages. This includes, but is not limited to:
    1. Loss of Use
    2. Damage to Property
    3. Personal Injury
  8. This warranty shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of England and Wales
  9. This Warranty constitutes the entire agreement between Batteries and Solar and the Purchaser with respect to the warranty coverage of any installation provided by Batteries and Solar. All prior or contemporaneous communications, representations, or agreements, whether oral or written, are hereby superseded and of no further force or effect.
  10. If any provision of this Warranty is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be deemed severed from this Warranty. The remaining provisions shall remain valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  11. Batteries and Solar reserves the right to amend, modify, or update the terms of this Warranty at any time. Any such amendments shall take effect immediately upon being published and made publicly available on the official Batteries and Solar website.
