The FU42-8 is an 8A circuit breaker with a manual reset function, designed to replace single-use fuses in standard (high-topped) automotive blade fuse boxes. Finished in a dark brown casing for quick visual identification, it offers a reusable alternative to conventional blade fuses.
When a fault such as an overload or short circuit occurs, the breaker trips to cut power and protect the system. Once the fault is resolved, the breaker can be manually reset, restoring the circuit without the need to replace any components.
This breaker is ideal for automotive, marine, and other 12V systems where circuit faults may occasionally occur and controlled reactivation is preferred. It improves sustainability by reducing fuse waste and lowers maintenance costs over time.
Important: Repeated tripping should always be properly diagnosed before the breaker is reset.
