The RIB VW T5/T6 Single Seat Swivel – Offset Driver (Right Hand Drive) is a premium seat swivel plate engineered specifically for VW Transporter T5, T6, and T6.1 vans (2003–2024), including the Caravelle. This swivel is highly praised for its durability, smooth operation, and rattle-free driving performance.
This new V3 generation swivel features a larger central hole for easier wiring access, making it fully compatible with heated seats and airbags. The pivot point is centrally located, providing a natural and balanced rotation. For added safety, the swivel plate automatically locks in place when facing forward.
Installing the swivel is straightforward, as it uses the original seat mounting points and comes complete with a handbrake lowering kit, raising shims, and all necessary bolts. Note that the engine must be off, the vehicle in gear, and the handbrake released temporarily to rotate the seat.
Please be aware that this swivel is not compatible with electric seats. If your van has a double passenger seat, you will need to fit a swivel under that seat as well in order to rotate the driver’s seat.
