The Mastervolt AGM Battery 12V/130Ah uses AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) technology, where the electrolyte (a mixture of water and sulfuric acid) is absorbed into glass fibers, resulting in a maintenance-free battery that eliminates the need for topping off water levels. With no gas formation during normal operation, this battery is not only safe to use indoors but can also be installed in various positions, offering complete flexibility in placement.
The AGM battery’s fast discharge rate and ability to handle high current surges make it ideal for systems that require high current output, such as engine starting systems. Its superior performance offers the same initial power surge as a 180 Ah flooded lead-acid battery but with a smaller capacity, making it an excellent choice for upgrading from traditional batteries.
Thanks to its glass-fiber technology, the internal resistance is kept low, allowing for faster discharge and improved efficiency. Thicker plates extend the battery’s lifespan, offering reliable power over time. Additionally, the battery poles can be unscrewed, and it is compatible with standard battery terminals, ensuring versatility in connection options.
