The Dodo Sound Stopper 14mm – Single Sheet (DOD-SOUNDSTOPPER-LITE) combines three layers of advanced acoustic materials in one flexible, lightweight mat. Designed for maximum sound reduction with minimal added weight, it is the ideal solution for areas that demand both noise blocking and installation versatility.
Each sheet features a dual-layer open-cell polyurethane foam for excellent sound absorption, paired with a central Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV) barrier to block low-frequency vibrations such as engine drone, tyre hum, and road noise. The sandwich construction decouples the MLV from the vehicle’s structure, enhancing its effectiveness as a sound barrier.
With a total thickness of 14mm and a sheet size of 900 x 600mm (0.54 sq.m), it’s perfect for use beneath carpets, on transmission tunnels, footwells, bulkheads, and boots, or on curved and vertical panels where conventional mats struggle. It's also widely used for domestic soundproofing applications such as lining doors or shrouding machinery like pumps and generators.
Fire rated to BS476-6 and 7 Class “0” and tested to ISO 3795:1989, this product is suitable for use in vehicle interiors. For best results, install using a suitable spray contact adhesive such as Trim-Fix.
